Educational Therapy

Educational therapy at Beyond Speech supports children who experience challenges with literacy skills such as reading, spelling, writing, and comprehension. Using evidence-based approaches including the Orton–Gillingham method, our therapy is tailored to each child’s learning profile and focuses on building strong foundations in phonological awareness, decoding, and language understanding. We provide individual therapy and group therapy.

We offer sessions at our clinic at Funan Mall, as well as at your home or child’s school if deemed suitable.

Who is Educational Therapy for?

What is Dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a learning difference that primarily affects reading, spelling, and writing. Children with dyslexia often have difficulty recognising letter sounds, blending sounds to read words, or remembering spelling patterns, even though they may be bright, creative, and curious learners. Dyslexia is not related to intelligence — it reflects differences in how the brain processes language. With the right support, children with dyslexia can make meaningful progress. Through structured, evidence-based approaches, educational therapy helps build strong foundations in phonological awareness, decoding, and language skills, supporting children to develop confidence and access learning in ways that work best for them.
